The Southwest has been my heart since I first discovered it. Colorado is included. Most people here are confused when I say that, but after living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, the land and climate here is almost identical. So is the extreme beauty.
These aren't the best quality pics, they are actually taken with a point and shoot. But here's a little sampling of life here. I hope you enjoy the challenging peace of this glorious place along with me.

What I love about this sunrise is that I'm pointing my camera straight WEST. Yes the sun had risen in the east as required, but this is the reflection of it in the west. And it was far more vibrant than the real sunrise in the east.
Mountain streams in Autumn are my favorite places to be.
I don't know a photographer who can resist a fence...
Or a pier...
Or old cabins...
Or mountain backdrops...
Many mistake sights like this for fog. It's actually clouds. You can watch them float in and out and cover your neighbor's home and then the mountains across the pass. I've had my head in the clouds all my life. And I wouldn't have it any other way...
Like watching these clouds alternately hide and reveal this Woodland Park Walmart...
Or explore exotic root systems...
